Privacy & Secrecy: A Boost or Bust for Finding Closeness

In this spiritual teaching, the Guide explains how we have a genuine need for privacy and a real need to feel close to others, but secrets are a total buzz kill for intimacy. Secrets create impenetrable walls that lead to our own downfall. And then just when we’re about to get busted for keeping secrets, we trot out ‘our need for privacy,’ and attempt to hide our evil ways behind a half-truth.

If we want true intimacy, we need to pry the lid off our secretive ways and discover the truth: there’s never anything to fear, and there’s no upside to hiding. Once those hard shells of secrets fall away, we’ll find out what’s really safe to trust in this world. And it’s not a big secret.

Listen and learn more.
