Meditation

What it is

Meditation is the intentional practice of becoming aware of what is presently true in us—including the untruths we still believe—so we can realign ourselves with divine law.

Why it matters

Meditation is not an escape from life. It is how we consciously cooperate with the creative process of life.

The best way to get started is to state in our meditation that we want to feel whatever is trapped inside. Our goal is to rid ourselves of this waste. Then guidance will appear, both from within ourselves and from others.

This will help us through our personal situations. (Chapter 3)

~2~

Our goal, then, is to unify ourselves and restore our wholeness. We do this by folding in the split-off aspects of the Lower Self that remain in separation.

It will help to understand that this is where we’re going with meditation. (Chapter 18)

Meditation is a tool we can use for deliberate, conscious creation. Truly, it’s one of the most powerfully creative things we can do. (Chapter 18)

~4~

Many people give up on meditation because it doesn’t seem to work. What they are not factoring in is the importance of what’s lurking in the unconscious…

In short, meditation offers us a wonderful opportunity to discover where and how we are resisting getting what we want. The goal is to give up the resistance, not give up the meditation that points it out to us. (Chapter 18)

~5~

The fourth phase of meditation is faith. This isn’t something we can force; faith is not an act of will. Trying to superimpose wishful faith over clouds of doubt is dishonest. (Chapter 18)

~6~

There are a few spiritual laws regarding meditation… One of the most important laws, which can also be found in Scripture, states that “according to your belief, you shall experience.” (Chapter 18)

~7~

When our Real Self is free, every thought and feeling will be a creative act of meditation. (Chapter 18)
