Free will

What it is

Free will is one of the greatest gifts we have been given. It is our God-given ability to choose our inner direction. Every moment offers another opportunity to align ourselves with truth.

Why it matters

Free will becomes a creative force when we consciously choose truth over illusion. Learning to recognize the difference is one of the great turning points on a spiritual path.

Let’s start by sorting out some semantics between self-will and free will. Because the meaning of these words is not the same.

A key differentiator is that free will can be used for good purposes, or for bad. So although free will can be utilized for perpetuating evil, it’s also a necessary ingredient for self-development.

We simply can’t fulfill God’s will without applying our free will to accepting it and choosing it. (Chapter 13)
