Salvation means that we are never locked out of heaven.
The Pathwork Guide clarifies the true meaning of Christ’s role in the Plan of Salvation, cutting through common misunderstandings about “salvation.” Christ did not erase humanity’s responsibility for wrongdoing. Rather, he made it possible for every soul to find a path back to God—no matter how far they had strayed.
Before Christ’s mission, even those who grew and developed spiritually remained, in part, under the dominion of darkness after death. Something more was needed to fully break that hold.
Christ took on this task by entering human life under the most extreme conditions—without divine protection at crucial moments, with limited awareness, and subject to every temptation.
This was part of a cosmic agreement with Lucifer. If Christ could remain faithful to God under such conditions, the power of darkness would be challenged at its root. Christ’s victory was not about avoiding suffering, but about meeting it without turning away from truth.
His life and death demonstrated what is possible: that no force of darkness can ultimately overpower a being aligned with divine truth. Through this, the door was opened for all souls to return—freely, consciously, and through their own transformation.
