Life is a sea that never stays the same. There are calm waters and turning tides, sunny days and sudden storms. We can’t control the sea. But we can learn to navigate it.

Each of us is a little boat.

When storms hit, we may lose our bearings. Some blame the weather, others simply drift and hope for the best. But we can learn to hold steady at the helm.

The Pathwork Guide teaches that nothing in our lives is arbitrary. Our outer life reflects what is happening within us. When we learn to recognize the connections between our inner distortions and the storms we encounter, we gain something precious: the ability to change our course.

The doorway is self-responsibility. What inside us have we not yet seen? How do we block what we want? And what would it feel like to live in greater harmony with our true self?

Jill Loree began working deeply with the Pathwork teachings in 1997. In 2014, she began working full time to make them easier to access. In Get a Better Boat, she distills these timeless and deeply trustworthy teachings into 33 spiritual essays for navigating difficult times.

The sea will keep changing. The storms will keep coming. A new era is arriving.

Is your little boat ready?
